The game
Inherit a farm, plant it, fix it, and slowly learn the names of everyone in the valley. Co-op puts up to four players on one farm. It is the most-updated single purchase in gaming, and the updates have always been free.
The rhythm
An in-game day is about fifteen minutes, which is the natural session. An hour is a week; an evening is a season. It saves at the end of every day and never punishes stopping.

What you pay for
One price, once, on every platform it has ever released on. No shop exists. The developer has said no to DLC for years and the record backs it.
What it asks of you
Very little, which is the point. Optimisers can min-max crops; everyone else can fish. Co-op needs one host who keeps the save.
The strengths
- A decade of free updates
- Sessions of any length
- Runs on anything, including a phone
The trade-offs
- Pixel art and pace are not for everyone
- Co-op host must be online for the farm to exist
A life, fifteen minutes at a time.
